My visual practice is a search for narrative form. As a field painter, I excavate shape and color from my natural surroundings. The environment becomes a theater of poetic interactions.
I am interested in how visual forms are inseparable from human meaning.
Through field painting, I learned an archeological practice of excavating meaning from my visual environment. Trusting in the forms of a given place to reveal to me the specificity(a glimmer, sacred) of the text written as a landscape, filtered through my sentience, my body.
